Gurgaon Renewal Mission is a
visible result oriented movement that was formed in November, 2011, to
renew Gurgaon as the ‘Smart City’ of India. It is a major movement
initiated by a coalition of partners, comprising civil society, business
and government.
The
mission is all set to help address the various challenges faced by
Gurgaon by a joint effort of all the stakeholders to find collective
solutions to the city’s social, infrastructure and environmental
sustainability related issues that negatively impact the development of
Gurgaon as a Global City.
Goals of the Mission:
- To take direct visible action to contribute towards resuscitating the city by addressing some of its ills.
- To mobilize and align all stakeholders toward renewing the city by:
- Creating a movement that would spur action to address the key infrastructure and social development issues.
- Launching several social initiatives that would facilitate inclusive growth and contribution to the betterment of the underprivileged in the city.
- To campaign and work with the government to action projects in infrastructure development and governance issues.
